Arrival, directed by Shawn Levy, Dan Levine, Aaron Ryder and David Linde, is a nominee for Best Picture. These are the first Academy Award nominations for Shawn Levy, Dan Levine, Aaron Ryder and David Linde. ‘Fences,’ starring Denzel Washington, Viola Davis, Stephen Henderson and Jovan Adepo earned a nomination for Best Picture. The film also received 3 other Oscar nominations for Writing (Adapted Screenplay), Actor in a Leading Role (Denzel Washington) and Actress in a Supporting Role (Viola Davis).
